Health in Comoros:
Unlike
many other African Nations, the Comoros has a very low prevalence
rate of HIV/ AIDS which currently stands at 0.12 %. The delivery
of medical services in the Comoros is however hampered by widespread
poverty meaning that many Comorian cannot afford to pay for treatment
or basic vaccinations.
Hospitals and healthcare centers can be found at major urban
centers in the Comoros Islands.
The El Maarouf Hospital in the
City of Moroni is the largest health facility in the Country.
There are also a number of small clinics and pharmacies in
the City where you can purchase basic prescription medicine.
