Transport in Comoros:

Comoros has a largely underdeveloped transport network. The only means of travel from one island to the next is by boat; though charter flights exist that frequently travel to and from the Comorian Islands. Air Comores the national carrier flies regularly between Moroni and Mayotte. There is no railway network on any of the islands. The Country’s ports; Mayotte and Moutsamoudou accommodate passenger and cargo ships.


Air Transport in Comoros:

The Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport in the City of Moroni is the sole international airport in the Comoros. The airport is situated about 24 km from the City centre. A small facility, the airport caters mainly for charter flights from the African mainland.
The airport is the main hub for local carrier Air Comores International which flies regularly to a number of international destinations including; Paris, Marseille, Dubai, Antananarivo, Johannesburg, Mombasa, Nairobi, Zanzibar and Dar Es Salaam.
