Dodoma:

Dodoma is the capital city of Tanzania having replaced Dar es Salaam in this capacity. The city is situated in central Tanzania and is also the administrative centre for the Dodoma Region. Dodoma is home to the Tanzanian parliament and a number of government agencies and foreign missions are yet to relocate here from Dar.

Its elevation in status as the capital has impacted positively on the city and Dodoma has developed greatly in recent years. The city is linked to other parts of the country by road and rail. There is also a small airport here which caters mainly or charter flights.
