Douala:

Douala is a Cameroonian city situated off the Bight of Biafra. The city is the largest and most populous in the country and is home to an estimated 2 million people. The city is the administrative capital of the Littoral Province, and is home to the country’s chief port.

Douala’s history begins in the 15th century with the arrival of the Portuguese to the country’s coast. The area later flourished as an important center for the transatlantic slave trade.
