Ghana Flag:

The
present day Ghanaian flag was officially adopted in 1957. The
colors on the flag (Red, Gold and Green) are considered Pan-African
colors
and appear in a number of African flags.
At the centre of the
flag is a black star that was adopted from the “Black Star Line” a
shipping company run by Marcus Garvey. The red color represents
the blood shed in the independence struggle, gold is for the
mineral wealth and green is for the natural vegetation and
agricultural
resources.
