The People of Ghana:
Ghana
is home to an estimated population of 22, 409, 572 people. The
country’s main ethnic groups are Akan, Moshi-Dagomba, Ewe,
Ga, Guruma and Yoruba.
There are also significant European and
Asian populations especially in Accra and Kumasi.
Languages: English is the official language and this is well
spoken by many Ghanaians. There are also more than 70 indigenous
languages and the ones most commonly spoken are; Akan, Moshi-Dagomba,
Ewe and Ga.
Religion: Christianity is the country’s main religion
though Islam is widely practiced as well as a number of indigenous
religions.
