Education in Kenya:
Education
in Kenya was initially based on the British System, before the
now operational 8-4-4 system was adopted. The Country was the first
in Africa to introduce free primary education as part of pre-electoral
promises made by President Mwai Kibaki. Kenya also has a host of
public and private universities and specialist institutes of higher
learning.
The bulk of the Country’s universities and colleges are
situated in the Kenyan Capital Nairobi.
