The Kenyan Flag:

The
colors on the Kenyan Flag are based on those of the KANU Flag;
the political party which led the country to independence. The
flag was adopted on the 12th of December 1963 when the country
attained its independence.
The black color represents the color
of the nation’s people, white is for peace, green is for
the land and red is for the blood shed for the country’s
independence. The traditional Masai shield with two spears at
the center represents the readiness to defend the aforementioned
representations.
