Liberian Economy:
A
war ravaged country, the Liberian economy has suffered greatly
following decades of civil war. The country is blessed with natural
resources and Liberia is one of the leading producers of timber
and rubber. Diamonds are also found in Liberia. Primary industries
in the country are rubber processing (firestone has one of its
largest plantations here), palm oil processing, diamond mining
and timber.
Agriculture in Liberia produces: rubber, sugarcane, livestock,
timber, palm oil, rice, cocoa and coffee.
The Liberian Dollar is the title of the Liberian currency.
