Media in Libya:
The
media in Libya is heavily controlled by the government. This includes
owning the sole broadcaster; Libyan Arab Jamahiriya Broadcasting
Corporation.
The body operates a number of radio stations
and broadcasts mainly in Arabic and English. There are also
12 television stations
and broadcasts are in English, Italian, Arabic and French.
Newspapers: the three major daily newspapers are; The New Dawn,
Libyan Press Review and Al Jihad.
