Libyan Arab Airlines:
Libyan
Arab Airlines is Libya’s national airline. The airline began
its operations in the 1960s, then under the name “Kingdom
of Libya Airlines”.
The airline’s development in following
decades was severely hampered by international sanctions against
the Libyan government. These sanctions were eventually lifted and
in 1999, the airline flew for its first time in over ten years
to an international destination (Amman, Jordan). The airline’s
main hub is the Tripoli international airport.
Presently, the airline presently flies to a number of international
destinations; Algiers, Alexandria, Cairo, Casablanca, Tunis,
Dubai, Amman, Jeddah, Damascus, London, Rome, Frankfurt, Milan.
