Mali Economy:

Ranked amongst the world’s poorest nations, a large part of Mali is desert or semi-desert. Agriculture which is a key part of the country’s fragile economy is practiced mostly along the banks of the Niger River.

Cotton and gold are the main export commodities from Mali. Major industries in Mali are; food processing, construction, gold and phosphate mining. Agriculture produces; cotton, rice, corn, peanuts, livestock, millet and vegetables.
