Marrakech:
One
of the few larger cities in inland Morocco, Marrakech is situated
in the southwest of the country at the foot of the Atlas Mountain
Ranges. The city is popular for its culture and heritage as well
as nature.
Monuments and historic sites: Marrakech has a host of historic
sites and monuments to visit such as the Saadien Tombs, the Medrasa
Ben Youssef Mosque, the Koutoubia Mosque, El Badi Palace and
the Mouassine fountains. Other interesting places to visit are;
the Marrakech Museum, Majorelle Garden and local markets selling
traditional handicraft items.
