Morocco
is a country famed for its cuisine. This is mainly due to the fact
that the country has over centuries been a cultural melting pot.
Moroccan food is a mix of Turkish, Berber, Spanish, Arabic and
African cuisine. Recent years have seen the spread in the popularity
of Moroccan food and a number of restaurants in major cities around
the world specialize in Moroccan cuisine.
Couscous (made from Semolina) is the country’s staple
food. This is enjoyed usually with spicy side dishes which
include; beef, chicken, lamb and/or vegetables.
Beverages and drinks: green mint tea drinking is a popular tradition
amongst Moroccans.
