Moshi:
Moshi
is a small thriving town situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The town is home to an estimated population of about 150,000 people.
The town features on a number of tourist itineraries
for visitors to Kilimanjaro or nearby parks. Moshi is linked
by road and there
is regular transport here from other Tanzanian cities. There
are also a number of buses that travel here from neighboring
Kenya,
as far as Nairobi.
The city is home to the Moshi International School which was
opened here in 1969. The school’s other campus is situated
in Arusha. An impressive facility, the school caters mainly
for the expatriate community.
Moshi Hotels:
There are a number of decent hotels in the town which cater
mainly for travelers enroute to nearby attractions such as; the
Kilimanjaro View Hotel and Marangu Hotel.
