Nigeria
is a major sporting nation in Africa. The country has over the
years produced some of the best sportsmen on the continent to feature

Basketball: another popular sport, the Nigerian basketball team
is one of the strongest in Africa and has represented the continent
at Olympic level. The team also participated at the 2006 World
championship in Japan, drawn alongside France, Venezuela, Lebanon,
Serbia and Montenegro and Argentina.
