Senegal Flag:
The
present Senegalese flag was adopted on the 20th of August 1960
when the country attained its independence. The flag features the
Pan-African colors (green, gold and red). These colors are also
present in a number of other African country flags.
The green color
represents the natural vegetation and agricultural resources,
gold is for mineral wealth and red is for the blood shed in
the struggle
for independence.
