Senegal
is a West African Nation situated off the Atlantic Ocean, south
of Mauritania, west of Mali. The country is a former member of
the French West African colony and attained its independence
on the 20th of June 1960, with Leopold Senghor as its first
president.
The country has been relatively stable since except for the periodic
clashes of a southern separatist group with government forces.

vegetables, cattle, poultry, pigs, fish.
Administration:
Senegal is divided into 11 administrative regions: Dakar, Diourbel,
Fatick, Kaolack, Kolda, Louga, Matam, Saint-Louis, Tambacounda,
Thies, Ziguinchor. The city of Dakar is the country’s
capital.
