Health in Seychelles:
The
Seychelles has one of the best standards of living in Africa. The
country has an almost non-existent HIV/AIDS prevalence rate and
there is a very low risk of falling sick from tropical diseases
or poor food and water hygiene.
Cases of malnutrition are also
very rare. Prior to travel however, you can consult your local
practitioner for information and advice on visiting the region.
The country has a number of health centers and small clinics
situated in urban centers. The key hospital is the Victoria
Hospital, a
government run facility situated in the nation’s capital.
There are a number of pharmacies in Victoria where you can purchase
simple prescription medicines. Many of these stay open till late.
