Tunisia Currency:

The Tunisian Dinar (TND) is the title of the country’s currency. The dinar was introduced in 1960 as the official currency to replace the Franc that had been in use during the colonial period. One dinar is equivalent to 1,000 millimes.

Denominations:
Coins: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 millimes and 1, 5 dinars.
Banknotes: 5, 10, 20, 30 dinars.

Foreign exchange:

While in the country, you can obtain currency exchange services from most major banks and foreign exchange bureaus especially in Tunis. Most major currencies can be changed though it is advisable to travel with US$ which are easier to change.
