Tourism in Tunisia:
Tunisia
has for more than a century been a popular place to visit. The
country is the location of the once powerful city in ancient civilized
world “Carthage”. Here you can view the ruins of this
city as well as take in the rich history and culture of the Tunisian
people. Tunisia’s warm climatic conditions and clean sandy
beaches also form the basis for the influx of tourists who come
here during the summer season.
Tunis:
The Medina (old city centre): hear you will find a good collection
that reminds one of the city’s rich history and background.
This includes; monuments, bazaars, mosques, palaces and cultural
learning centers. The Medina was in 1979 declared a World Heritage
Site by UNESCO.
Hammamet:
The town offers some of the best beaches on the Tunis coastline
and warm weather for most parts of the year. Popular activities
here include: water skiing, swimming and horse riding. Hammamet
also has a number of good hotels, restaurants and local markets
which sell a variety of souvenir items.
